The Sunrise Mountain Mustangs' baseball team hosted the Moon Valley Rockets on Wednesday afternoon and defeated them 11-1.

The Greenwood Bulldogs from Greenwood, Arkansas defeated the Shadow Ridge Stallions of Surprise on their home field, 17-12.

6-foot-9 Trey Wood became the first athlete to come out of Anthem Preparatory Academy to commit to play for an NCAA Division 1 athletic program, as he is attending Portland State University in Oregon to play college basketball.
