David Russell attends Gilbert Christian High School and is a member of the AIA's student SID program.

The Gilbert Christian Varsity Boys Basketball team hosted the Globe Tigers on Tuesday, December 6th, and fell in a tightly contested game 61-53.  Senior Max Lightfoot had 14 points and 9 rebounds before fouling out. Junior Keon Talgo contributed 12 points and senior Michael Gross came off the bench to contribute five assists.  

On Wednesday night, December 7th, the Boys Varsity basketball had their first road game as they traveled to San Tan Charter to take on the #1 team in Division 2A. The Knights could not hold a halftime lead and fell 68-56. Keon Talgo led the way with 21 pts. while Lopemii Omole had a season high of 13 pts. and 12 rebounds and Jace Olson had 11 pts.

With these losses the Knights fall to 3-4 on the season.
