Highland FB has something to cheer about in Fitzpatrick

Highland High football is struggling with an 0-4 record in 2011, but one of its grads 10 years ago is giving the Gilbert school something to cheer about.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, a standout prep quarterback at the turn of the century and the only Harvard quarterback to play in the NFL, came up aces for the second week in a row Sunday in helping the Buffalo Bills rally to defeat the Oakland Raiders, 38-35.
Fitzpatrick, playing for his third NFL team since begin drafted in the seventh round in 2005 by the St. Louis Rams, has passed for seven touchdowns and thrown only one interception in two games. That's on the heels of taking over as Buffalo's starting QB last year where he enjoyed his best season as a starter throwing 23 TD passes in 13 games as a starter.
Fitzpatrick played two season for the Rams, moved on and started one season with Cincinnati in 2008. In the last three seasons he has become a dependable quarterback and is solidly entrenched as the Bills QB.
A bonafide starter at quarterback in the NFL. Pretty good for an Ivy League guy.
