Marana senior Trenton Bourguet threw for 377 yards in a 49-28 loss to Cienega last Friday night and that total put him past former Sunnyside/Salpointe standout Andrew Cota into the second spot on the Career Passing Leaders from Southern Arizona.

Former Catalina Foothills and current University of Arizona QB Rhett Rodriguez sits comfortably on top of that list with 8,694 career passing yards.

Bourguet also connected on four touchdown passes against the Bobcats to give him 89 in his career. In doing so, Bourguet set a new 5A state career TD record, passing former Horizon QB Dalton Sneed who held the 5A record in Arizona at 87 and that total stood for four years.
