6A CONFERENCE

No. 34 Trevor Browne (3-6, 2-2) at No. 22 Tucson (5-4, 3-1)

Tucson expects to move to 6-4 and claim second place in the 6A Metro Region. At No. 22, it’s unlikely the Badgers will earn an at-large playoff berth this year.

5A CONFERENCE

No. 15 Ironwood Ridge (5-4, 3-1) at No. 5 Cienega (8-1, 4-0)

If Ironwood Ridge wins this game it will cap off an amazing comeback from a season that started out 1-3. The 5A Southern Region title is up for grabs and the Nighthawks are on the playoff bubble but the Bobcats are tough.

No. 28 Mountain View (4-5, 4-0) at No. 8 Flowing Wells (8-1, 4-0)

In years past, this would have been for the automatic berth from the 5A Sonoran Region but there will be no berth on the line this year. This should be one of the best games in the state.

No. 10 Marana (6-3, 2-2) at No. 38 Nogales (2-7, 0-4)

The Tigers are playoff safe but not enough power points in this game to get them into the top eight. Trenton Bourguet is 105 passing yards away from moving into third place all-time from Southern Arizona and he is only six TD passes away from setting a new 5A career TD record.

No. 18 Buena (5-4, 2-2) at No. 23 Sunnyside (4-5, 1-3)

Buena’s playoff hopes have stalled a bit from a 3-1 start.

No. 32 Desert View (3-6, 2-2) at No. 33 Empire (5-4, 2-2)

Two great running backs in this game. Could be high scoring.

No. 43 Cholla (0-9, 0-4) at No. 41 Rincon/UHS (1-8, 0-4)

Lots of pride on the line in this game.

4A CONFERENCE

No. 1 Salpointe (9-0, 4-0) at No. 41 Vista Grande (2-7, 0-4)

The Lancers cannot afford to look past anyone.

No. 5 Sahuaro (7-2, 3-1) at No. 20 Catalina Foothills (4-5, 2-2)

Sahuaro is hoping to stay in the top eight with a win. The Falcons could make some noise with a win here.

No. 21 Casa Grande (5-4, 1-3) at No. 10 Canyon del Oro (6-3, 2-2)

Canyon del Oro should take care of business here and keep safe for the playoffs.

No. 45 Palo Verde (2-7, 1-3) at No. 14 Walden Grove (7-2, 4-0)

Eight wins for the first time in school history for the Red Wolves? Could happen.

No. 39 Amphitheater (4-5, 3-1) at No. 33 Pueblo (4-5, 3-1)

Always a classic clash. This game has decided several region championships in the past.

No. 46 Rio Rico (1-8, 0-4) at No. 37 Douglas (1-2)

Douglas looks to rebound and end the season strong.

3A CONFERENCE

No. 7 Sabino (7-2, 4-0) at No. 9 Safford (6-3, 4-0)

This is for the 3A South Region and a possible top-eight finish which means hosting the first round.

No. 14 Pusch Ridge (4-5, 2-2) at No. 32 Catalina (3-6, 1-3)

Not too many power points available for Pusch Ridge here but a win should keep the Lions in the top 16.

No. 35 Tanque Verde (3-6, 0-4) at No. 17 Sahuarita (5-4, 1-3)

Not sure if a win here moves Sahuarita back into an at-large playoff berth.

2A CONFERENCE

No. 14 Benson (5-4, 3-0) at No. 10 Willcox (7-2, 3-0)

This one is for the 2A San Pedro title. Benson should be able to survive a loss at No. 14.

No. 19 Tombstone (5-4, 1-2) at No. 23 Bisbee (4-5, 1-2)

Tombstone senior Tyler Wilridge leads the state with 2,150 yards rushing.

No. 37 Santa Rita (0-9, 0-4) at No. 1 Thatcher (9-0, 4-0)

This could be a long night for Santa Rita.

No. 18 Santa Cruz (3-6, 2-2) at No. 38 Heritage Academy (0-10, 0-4)

Santa Cruz will miss the playoffs after losing the 2A championship game in overtime last year.

No. 34 San Carlos (1-8, 0-4) at No. 25 San Manuel (3-6, 2-2)

The Miners look to finish the season out on a 4-2 run.
