In an ongoing effort to expand high school sports coverage around the state, AZPreps365.com is excited to announce it has added Oree Foster as a contributing reporter for the site. Foster will cover the northeastern part of the state with an emphasis on Native American communities and reservation schools.

With a B.S. and M.S. in Journalism from Arizona State, Foster has worked as a sports writer for over 40 years, covering high school, college, professional and community sports. A graduate of Window Rock High School, Foster enjoys giving exposure to the student-athletes and schools in the 2A and 3A North Conferences. He covers many schools that are on the reservations and truly has a passion in watching the student-athletes become successful at the local and state levels.

As part of his venture with First American Sports, Foster and his staff cover many community happenings from the high school games, the summer sports leagues and the ever-popular rodeo circuit in the area.

“I’m very excited because these schools, student-athletes and coaches need the publicity,” Foster said. “I’m sure everyone around here will be very happy with the amount of coverage we can now produce, as you usually hear of our programs only at the state championship level. Now the rest of the state, our neighboring communities across state lines and even college coaches will find out about all the deserving kids and coaches.”

For all of his efforts through the years working with the AIA’s member schools, Foster was named the Arizona Interscholastic Association’s 2010 and 2016 recipient of the Skip Bryant Award for excellence in prep sports media coverage.
