BOYS VOLLEYBALL: Rincon takes early lead at the Salpointe Invitational

Rincon/University went 3-0 on Friday to take an early lead at the Salpointe Lancer Boys Volleyball Invitational. Played under a round-robin format, each of the six teams are scheduled to play a total of five matches at the two-day tournament.
Mountain View Marana is 2-0, Cienega is 1-2, Tucson is 1-2, Kellis is 1-2 and Salpointe is 0-2. The Rangers will face Mountain View Saturday morning to set the tone for the rest of the day. If Rincon/UHS wins that match, then the Rangers will be 4-0 and practically guaranteed the top spot in the tournament.
