AZBCA puts on a complete show with academic all-star game

Adam Brzeczek is not unique getting the opportunity to play in two baseball all-star games -- one due to ability and the other more to academic prowess.
Games played this weekend and last weekend sponsored by the Arizona Baseball Coaches Association ended up affording eight players the chance to participate in two all-star games based on the above criteria. To make sure the other dual-game selectees get credit along with Brzeczek, here are the other seven and their schools- - Brandon Demerest, Saguaro (4A-I); Michael Fritz, Round Valley (3A); Jake Sleeper, Payson (3A); Scott Hiller, Valley Lutheran (1A-2A); Adam Frank, Williams Field (4A-II); Josh Kuntz, Valley Vista (5A-II) and Levi Roberts, Flagstaff (4A-II).
The academic all-star game is well-worth the extra time and recognition the AzBCA puts and Surprise put in to it. My youngest son was fortunate enough to get selected to play in the game in 2008 as was a teammate of his the year before. Both enjoyed the experience immeasurably. I'm glad to see it continues to be a part of the all-star weekends put on by the AzBCA.
