DURHAM, N.C. -- USA Baseball and MaxPreps announced on Monday, the MaxPreps/USA Baseball Player of the Week Award winners for the week of May 4, 2015, bringing national recognition to the top-performing high school athletes in the country.

Representing eight national regions, -- Great Lakes, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, Southwest and West -- players are selected based upon stats that are submitted to MaxPreps by coaches and team administrators. For players to be nominated each week, their coach must enter the athlete's game stats into MaxPreps by Sunday evening. High school coaches may obtain an access code to enter stats for their teams at maxpreps.com/cl.

The winners for MaxPreps/USA Baseball Player of the Week Award are as follows:

Great Lakes
Clay Dungan, a senior at Yorktown (Yorktown, Ind.) High School, ripped 11 hits in 13 at-bats last week to earn Great Lakes MaxPreps/USA Baseball Player of the Week. Dugan drove in 10 runs while scoring 10 times. He laced two doubles, one triple and two home runs to slug 1.615 and post a 0.875 on-base percentage.

Mid-Atlantic
Tyler Holder earned Mid-Atlantic MaxPreps/USA Baseball Player of the Week after notching back-to-back no-hit performances to earn two victories for Lee County (Sanford, N.C.) High School, this week. In 10 innings, Holder did not allow a hit or walk, while striking out 14.

Midwest
Riley Hickerson, a senior at Cooter (Cooter, Mo.) High School, was a perfect 6-for-6 at the plate to earn Midwest MaxPreps/USA Baseball Player of the Week. Hickerson drove in seven runs, scored seven times, walked twice and blasted a triple and a home run. He posted an incredible 1.000/1.000/1.833 slash line.

Northeast
Jon Levy, a Norton (Norton, Mass.) High School junior, struck out 18 over nine innings to earn Northeast MaxPreps/USA Baseball Player of the Week honors. Levy allowed just two hits and one unearned run while earning the victory for his team.

Northwest
Justin Marsden, a senior at Auburn Mountainview (Auburn, Wash.) High School, struck out 21 hitters in three appearances. Totally nine innings, Marsden did not allow a hit or a run for the week.

Southeast
LA Woodard, a senior at Overton (Nashville, Tenn.) High School, posted a .750 batting average to earn Southeast MaxPreps/USA Baseball Player of the Week. Woodward was 6-for-8 with eight RBIs and seven runs scored. His three walks, one double and one triple led to a .818 on-base percentage and a 1.125 slugging percentage.

Southwest
Nathan Hawkins, a junior at Sunnyvale (Sunnyvale, Texas) High School, struck out 16 over seven innings to earn Southwest MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week. Hawkins allowed two hits and a pair of walks, while not allowing a run, as he picked up the win.

West
Adam Connors, a senior at Del Norte (San Diego, Calif.) High School, dropped a 1.000/1.000/2.428 slash line for the week for earn West MaxPreps/USA Baseball Player of the Week. Mashing three home runs in a 7-for-7 week, Connors drove in six runs and scored four times while hitting a double and walking once.
