Ironwood Ridge senior Ashlyn Quiri set a new Southern Arizona career kill record during a 3-0 victory at Douglas Thursday night. Quiri has 1,523 career kills which put her past former Tucson High standout Mia Sokolowski who graduated in 2015 with 1,514 kills. Sokolowski went on to play for Florida and Quiri will be headed to Florida State.

The state career record for career kills is held by former Valley Christian (2A) standout Chanel Brown (Arizona) who graduated in 2009 with 2,598 kills. The 4A record is 1,803 earned by former Flagstaff standout Courtney Leffel (ASU) from 2012-15.

Quiri is currently 22nd all-time in Arizona with at least six matches left.
