AGUILA OPEN HOSTED BY HORIZON

Aguila Golf Course: Wednesday, Sept. 23

 

There was a three-way tie for the championship of the Aguila Open held at the Aguila Golf Course on Wednesday. Hamilton senior Owen Greenough (Pepperdine), Seton Catholic Prep Sr.  Nathan Ash and Pinnacle Sr. James Kalinowski all came in with a 4-under-par 68.

Greenough battled back from two shots off the pace to record birdies on the 17th and 18th holes to force the tie with Ash and Kalinowski and Ash recorded three birdies in his last five holes. This is the third championship this season to go along with the Dobson Classic and the Coyote Classic and Greenough won the Division I state championship last year

As a team, Pinnacle beat Hamilton 281 to 284 and the Pioneers are currently the top-ranked D-I team in the state and the Sentinels are tops in D-II.
