The Canyon View High School girls track and field team continued its dominance, capturing its third consecutive Division II state championship with a convincing win over North Canyon at Red Mountain High School. The Jaguars delivered a balance performance across the running and field events, highlighted by multiple relay championships.

NAU commit Ryane Ast led the way on the track, placing first in the 400 meters and running the anchor leg on the winning 4x400-meter relay team. She also finished fourth in both the 100 and 800.

Sophomore Peyton-Rae Isaac was equally as impressive after placing fourth in the 400 and running on both the winning 4x400 and 4x800 relays. She also helped the 4x100 relay team to a second-place finish.

Newcomer Camila Ramos was another key contributor, winning titles in the 4x800 and 4x400 relays. She added an individual third-place finish in the 800 and placed sixth in the 400.

Distance runner Reid Barisich placed third in the 3,200 meters and fourth in the 1,600, while also running on the first-place 4x800 relay team. Sophomore Taelyn Janssen added a second-place finish in the 3,200 and placed sixth in the javelin to help pace Canyon View.

In the field events, senior Rylee Fields capped off her career with second-place finishes in both the discus and shot put. Allison Whipple took third in the javelin, Harmony Stewart placed third in the triple jump, and Syah Cuff finished fourth in the long jump. Maliyah Curry added a fourth-place finish in the pole vault to round out the scoring.

The Lady Jags will return to the track next weekend at the State Meet at Mesa Community College.
