No. 2 Pusch Ridge over No. 15 Glendale Prep 5-1

No. 2 Pusch Ridge beat No. 15 Glendale Prep 5-1 on Tuesday at the Hilton El Conquistador Complex in Oro Valley to advance to the Division III quarterfinal round set for Tuesday, May 5, where the Lions will host No. 10 Florence at 3 p.m. Florence upset No. 7 Gilbert Christian 5-4.
Pusch Ridge won the D-III state championship last year, the seventh in program history and the first since 2019. The Lions have also won the last two doubles championships with current sophomore Taryn Martin joining former standout Estelle Fetsis. Fetsis won in 2024 with Emma Bartruff.
Pusch Ridge standouts Noelle Sunukjian and Micaela Nagel will compete in singles competition for the Lions and Brady Imes and Pearl Kulvatonyou will compete in doubles. Glendale Prep standout Belle Bodzin earned the No. 4 seed for singles and Elsie Wright will also compete in singles.
