Wickenburg girls beat Ash Fork 43-29, advance to Yvonne Johnson finals

CAMP VERDE — Mallery Murphy scored 20 points, Macy Murphy had nine points and Wickenburg remained undefeated with a 43-29 victory over Ash Fork on Tuesday afternoon.

The Wranglers (11-0, 0-0 2A West) have won 11 straight to open the season after not making the state playoffs a season ago.

Ash Fork's Isabella Acosta scored only three points in the loss. The Spartans (12-2, 3-0 1A Central) lost only their second game all season.

Tipoff for the Yvonne Johnson Memorial Shootout championship game between Wickenburg and Valley (Sanders), which beat Red Mesa 65-30, is set for 7:30 p.m.
