Koa Peat isn’t leaving Arizona.

The four-time state champ and three-time Gatorade Player of the Year announced Thursday morning on ESPN that he’ll continue his basketball career at University of Arizona. His decorated prep career at Perry High won’t soon be forgotten.

The senior still scored 20 points, grabbed nine boards, didn’t turn the ball over and finished with a couple of dunks in his team’s 63-44 victory over Sunnyslope in the March Open.

He wrote faith is greater than fear on his wrapped hand, his shooting hand.

The 6-8 Peat often struck fear in opponents with his all-around game and broad shoulders. But off the court, his humble demeaner and love for Perry High also helped turn him into a winner as well.
