Former Pinnacle standout Kelsey Turnbow is a MAC Hermann Trophy Finalist

Former Pinnacle standout Kelsey Turnbow is one of three finalists for the Women’s MAC Hermann Trophy awarded by United Soccer Coaches and the Missouri Athletic Club. The Hermann Trophy signifies the top NCAA D-I soccer player in the country.

Turnbow was named a First Team All-West Coast Conference player for the fifth time this season playing for Santa Clara in addition to being named to the first team of the United Soccer Coaches All-West Region Team.

Turnbow led Santa Clara to a national championship in 2020 and a runner-up finish this year. She was drafted by the Chicago Red Stars in the 2021 NWSL Draft but was traded to the expansion San Diego Wave FC.

Turnbow was the Washington Gatorade Player of the Year in 2013-14 and in 2014-15 before moving to Arizona where she earned Gatorade Player of the Year honors in 2015-16.

Jaelin Howell of Florida State and Mikayla Colohan of BYU are the other finalists.
