Basketball sectionals offer mobility for qualifiers

Lots of sectional basketball this week and what will ensue is a bunch of leap-frogging.
Wins this week -- anywhere from one to three by a sectional qualifier -- will bring about updward mobility and jumble final seeding by Saturday night for the state basketball tournaments. That upward movement could result in an obvious higher seed and even a first-round bye at state for a team that cracks the top 8 in its Division. State basketball tournaments begin Feb. 11 for Division IV boys and girls, Feb. 14 for Division III boys, Feb. 15 for Division I, II and III girls and Feb 16 for Division I and II boys.
