DIVISION IV GIRLS

The Valley Christian girls won their 19th state championship at the Division IV state championships held at Perry High School this past week. The program won their previous 18 titles from 1992 to 2010 with a third place finish breaking up the streak in 1995. The team also took second in 2011.

 

INDIVIDUAL NOTES

Northland Prep junior Sydney Sventek won the 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles and the long jump and she was the anchor leg of the programs’ championship 4x100 relay team.

Phoenix Country Day freshman Kimi Cahoon won the 800, 1600 and 3200 meter races and she anchored the team’s championship 4x800 relay team.

Valley Christian junior Riley Brown won the 100 and 200 meter races and she led off the programs championship 4x100 relay team.

Mogollon senior Isabella Horn won the high jump and triple jump.

Trivium Prep senior John Jeanisse won the 100 and the 200 meter runs.

Northland Prep senior Richie Johnston won the 800 and 1600 and he was the anchor of the championship 3200 relay.

Tempe Prep senior Louis Ternyik won the 110 hurdles and the javelin.

Mogollon Senior Jayk Kelton won the long jump and the triple jump.
