The 5 foot 8 inches sophomore outside hitter from Gilbert Christian Lexi Sadler has silently creeped her way up to the starting six, helping lead the knights to 8-3 record currently and on trail for the playoffs. Her teammates had something to say about her. Freshman Abby Feely from the Gilbert Christian JV team says “Lexi, during warmups, shows that she is meant to be out on that court. She is constantly working on something not just hitting”. Junior and best hitter Eli Wolthuis says “She not only can hit, she also can stretch the floor and allow us to stay in our zones of the court, we can trust her”. Lexi’s stats for how long she has been starting are extraordinary. In 27 sets she has a total of 67 kills. She also has 39 digs. “We have a very talented team that is still pretty young," said Junior middle, Bela Williamson. Lexi Sadler still has another two years left to dominate. This young GCHS Knights team is the eighth seed, as of now; and they are still moving closer to that top seed.
