GIRLS, BOYS 3A NORTH REGION BASKETBALL

Chinle High School will host the girls and boys 3A North Regional Basketball Tournament in the Wildcat Den on February 13, 14, 15.

At conclusion of the regional tournament, the top 24 teams will be placed on the state tournament bracket, according to final statewide power rankings.

State tournament round one contests are scheduled for February 18 at site of the high seed. Round two games are set for February 21 at high seed. The quarterfinals will top off on February 24 at Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley.

The semifinals are scheduled for February 28 at a site To Be Determined. The state championship game is set for February 29 at a site To Be Determined.

GIRLS, BOYS 3A EAST REGION BASKETBALL

The 3A Region does not have a regional tournament.

The top two regular season finishers in the 3A East Region will earn an automatic berth into the state tournament. The state tournament consists of the top 24 finishers in the statewide power rankings.

3A NORTH REGION

According to current statewide power rankings, Page (4-0 region, 16-1) is ranked number one. Chinle (4-1 region, 16-7) is number two ranked team in the state. Kayenta Monument Valley (2-2 region, 10-6) is number 16. Window Rock (1-2 region, 11-9) is ranked number 21. Tuba City (1-3 region, 8-9) is number 22 ranked team. Ganado (0-4 region, 2-15) is ranked number 37.

BOYS

3A EAST REGION

In the latest statewide power rankings, Winslow (2-0 region, 16-5) is ranked number four. Snowflake (2-0 region, 13-8) is ranked number seven. Holbrook (3-1 region, 15-6) follows, ranked number eight. Show Low (0-2, 11-7) is ranked number 12. Blue Ridge (1-2, region, 5-9) is ranked number 33. Payson (0-3 region, 4-14) is ranked number 38.

Ganado (4-0 region, 19-1) is ranked number two in the state. Page (2-2 region, 13-4) is ranked number three. Window Rock (1-2 region, 12-5) is ranked number eight.
