Greenway HS teachers, staff play hoops vs. NFL for charity

Greenway High School will be the site Friday Nov. 18 for the school to aid the NFL Players Association (Arizona Chapter) with a charity basketball game to raise money for retired NFL veterans.
Greenway athletic director Jeff Feldman said he has assembled aa group of teachers and staff to play a regular, four -quarter basketball game against a team of 12 former NFL players. Among those set to play are former Arizona Cardinals Michael Bankston (defensive end), MarTay Jenkins (wide receiver) and David Macklin (cornerback). Former Moon Valley HS star Travis Brown (quarterback Indianapolis Colts) and former Oakland Raiders offensive lineman lineman Lincoln Kennedy are also set to participate. Greenway HS and NFLPA have been in contact with Kurt Warner concerning his availability and awaiting final word.
Doors open at 6 p.m. on Nov.18 with game time set for 7 p.m.. Halftime entertainment will be provided by the Greenway Drum Line, Greenway Dance Line, The Miracless and the Foot Clan Dance Troop. There will also be autograph signing after the game. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students.
