Higley picked up its sixth win a row last week and it was enough to make the top 8 of the Open Division with two weeks left in the regular season.

Higley jumped from No. 15 to No. 8 and is the only team in the Open Division top 8 with two losses. Higley defeated previously unbeaten Campo Verde last week. Horizon also popped into the Open Division top 8 moving from #10 to #6. Creeping every closer is Red Mountain, which climbed from #12 to #9.

Higley coach Eddy Zubey said after last week's victory the Knights goal this season was qualifying for the Open Division. If they ended up facing Chandler, so be it. That would be Higley's opponent to open the playoffs if they began today.
