Pinnacle senior Zach Wright shattered the state boys golf record for individual low total  in state tournament play last weekend at the Division I tournament at Dell Urich Golf Course in Tucson.

Wright's rounds of 62 and 63 were 15-under par and his 125 total bettered the old mark of 134 held by Desert Mountain's Tim KcKenney (2005) and Brophy's Ted Purdy (1991).

Independence junior Anthony Quezada, who shot 63-67 to total 130, also easily surpassed the old mark. Hamilton's Ken Iida equaled the old record 134 (67-67).
