The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) announced its Scholastic Junior All-America Team on Thursday and Catalina Foothills senior Maya Benita was one of 12 girls on the list. The University of Arizona commit has a GPA of 4.83 and her community involvement includes membership in the National Honor Society and she is volunteer at Ronald McDonald House.

Benita is currently ranked No. 4 in Division II and the state playoffs for D-II start on Oct. 28.
