Former Ironwood standout Tarik Sutkovic (220) was named to the 2019 Wrestling USA Scholastic All-American Team. The 3-time state champion was the only wrestler from Arizona honored. Sutkovic took third at the National High School Coaching Association (NHSCA) nationals tournament in March. He will be wrestling for Clackamas Community College in Oregon.

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame awarded the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award to former Mountain View standout Marcus Castillo. According to the Hall of Fame, the award is presented to a high school senior based on outstanding wrestling success, scholastic achievement and citizenship or community service.

In addition, the National Wrestling Coaches Association honored 11 student-athletes from Arizona with the NWCA/USMC Scholastic Scholar All-American Award:
